Jimmy Herring Speaks About His New Album

jhcoverThroughout the entire album, Herring is supported by a core cast of musicians that mixes familiar faces with intriguing new voices. Longtime co-conspirator Jeff Sipe (who Herring played with in Project Z and the Aquarium Rescue Unit) contributes most of the drumming. “There’s only one Jeff Sipe,” Herring says. “He understands the music on a whole other level. He’s turned me on to so much. He’s not gonna just stop. He’s going to be evolving when he’s 80.”

Recording Project with Debashish Bhattacharya

I just finished recording three tracks for Debashish Bhattacharya, the great Kolkata slide guitarist from India to commemorate his 50th year on earth! It will feature among others, John Mclaughlin and Jerry Douglas. I am thrilled to be a part of this upcoming album by the great master world musician Debashish Bhattacharya. I wish for him another happy and fruitul 50 years!!
